COLEMAN LIVINGSTONE BLEASE Out of the recent state primaries for senatorial nominations there emerge political facts perhaps more important,但 none more interesting than the come-back of Coleman Livingstone Blease, former governor of South Carolina, nominated for United States senator over Representative James F.Byrnes in the Democrat run-off primary. The nomination is equivalent to election. Blease was born in Newberry county,S.C.Oct 8,1868。He studied for the bar and was admitted in 1889 and began practice in the town of Newberry. The following year he was successful in Ms campaign for election to the South Carolina house of representatives, and held his seat for eight years。 He next filled the post of city attorneyof Newberry and then returned to the capital as a state senator.Back home again after four years he became mayor of his city。 He was elected governor of his state in 1911 and served two terms.minus a few days。他 resigned five days before the expiration of Ms term because he declined to go through with the ceremony of turning over the state house to his successor. While governor he drew the fire of his opponents for his generosity in pardoning prisoners from the state institutions. Consisting of the best of furnishing any four post bedroom suite;s solid mahogany hand carved lber Piano; a $300 Edison Phine net Singer sewing machine; almost all kinds; bedding; kitchen furniture; a beautiful everything in high grade housel Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Salveson have been entertaining an aunt, Mrs. Mary Lalley, of St. Joseph, Mo., the past week. On Wednesday evening they motored to Newport Beach, where Mrs. Lalley will spend a week with her sister, Mrs. O. J. Ghone. Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brawley and son, Hugh, motored to Long Beach Sunday morning to visit Mr. Brawley's aunt, Mrs. Patton, from Pennsylvania. Later in the day they went to Fairview Heights, Inglewood, for a visit with Mrs. Brawley's mother, Mrs. Robert Hodge. At her home, 123 S. Madrona ave, Brea, Mrs. Burton Adelt gave recently a very delightful dancing party. Pink and white flowers had been used in profusion as decorations. During the evening the hostess served a delicious buffet supper. Her guests were the Misses Ethel Weaver, Helen Honigan, Thelma Smith and Mrs. Sherman Yost and Messrs. Clyde Badgley, Rankin Bailey, Walter Merrifield, Bill Leater, Roy Evans and Roy Larson. Surprising Miss Ethel Powell on her birthday, a group of girl friends were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Powell.
