BROOKHART FLAYS
G.O.P. "MACHINE"
ENMETTSBURG, Ia., Oct. 3.
The charge of the Republican organization that his recent demand for the resignation of Gen. Chas. G. Dawes, vice presidential candidate, was traitorous to the party, was answered here today by Ken Smith W. Brookhart, Iowa, in a scathing denunciation of Prec. Coolidge and "the Republican machine."
He openly charged Coolidge with affiliation with "The Wall Street bloc" and with desertion of the basic principles of Republicanism as laid down by Lincoln, and declared he would "reform the lines for a finish light to out-Wall Street influence from the Republican party."
He declared the "Coolidge machine" had snubbed the party in Iowa and had insulted him, ignoring the request of the 200,000 voters who nominated him.
"I issue has now arisen in Iowa," he declared, "as to whether the principles of the Republican party shall be determined by the voter or by a small group of crooked and irresponsible dictators set up by the non-partisan league of Wall Street.
"I have never thought of leaving the party. My whole soul is wrapped up in the principles of Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Kenyon. On the other hand, I will fight with all my strength against that falsity and corruption that crept into the party under the leadership of Hanna Penrose and Newberry."
"I have said I would do as much for Coolidge as he would do for me, and the voters are entitled to know what we have done for each other and to each other."
"I was nominated by 200,000 Republican voters without a machine and without money. I was opposed by Wall Street's money and the president's power and my nomination and my platform have never been recognized by Prec. Coolidge as the voice of Iowa Re-

"I was nominated by 200,000 Republican voters without a machine and without money. I was opposed by Wall Street's money and the president's power and my nomination and my platform have never been recognized by Pem Coolidge as the votes of Iowa Republicanism.
"My principal supporters are the farmers and the laboring people and they are denounced as radicals by the president and his supporters.
"The Republican state convention, dominated by the Coolidge machine, snubbed and insulted me.
"The Coolidge newspapers over the state, with a few exceptions, have bolted me and continued to denounce me and my platform as approved by the voters."
WATER CARNIVAL AT DANA POINT
In a sense the initial exhibit of the piping and pumping of water, a few days since, to the highest altitudes of Dana Point, at which time a large number of interested persons were present, might be termed a "Water Carnival." At any rate it proved a joyous occasion to those who viewed the ample flow.
There never was any doubt in the minds of the subdividers of this scenic spot as to the vastness of the store of mountain water when developed as today. Nevertheless, the culmination of their efforts in this realization proved an occasion of pardonable rejoicing.
Nor did the many who have secured homesites here hesitate for fear of an insufficient supply since they had previously informed themselves that development was the only requirement and of which they were assured.
Only a short time has elapsed since this celebrated property was put upon the market but in the interim the fame of the place has attracted both pleasure seekers and those in quest of beautiful and unique home sites, to the end that many sales have been made, while many and elaborate improvements are in evidence on every hand.
The Dana Point Yacht' and Country club adjoining has formulated plans for an ornate club house and other structures that will materially augment the other and numerous attractions to be found only here where the scenic charms of ocean and mountains vie with the perfection of a semi-tropical climate, without a peer.
As a result of this historic feature of the place in conjunction

He was found wandering in a street; and it is believed he may be the child of visitors to the city who met with an accident, or was abandoned. He is healthy and of a high order 'of intelligence, but cannot identify himself.
