A shaggy pony, covered with a coat of dirt, and an Alredale terrier, who had the appearance of not having looked a square meal in the face for quite a time, were arrested in this town, charged with vagrancy. When they were discovered by Officer Dugan, of Milton, they were galloping down a lane. The pony's breast was cut where he had tried to go through barbedwire fences to get at meadows. Policeman Duggan trapped the pony with a sack of oats; but the SUB HITS BU SAN FRANCISCO, The submarine S-34 pluwith her work of taking soundings off the Parallones today following a minor accident in which the driver struck bottom and for 15 minutes was ground late last night. The pony was tied up to a board fence awaiting a claimant; but, according to latest reports, the dog was still circling about, refusing to desert his companion. F. M.
