STANDS HIGH IN NET INCOMES California reported net personal income of $1,357,524,521 in returns filed in 1923, according to treasury figures available yesterday and released by Collector of Internal Revenue Rex B. Goodell. This is the largest net personal income ever reported in one year in California and tops 1920 which was the banner year in the collection of income tax. In per capita net income reported, California leads all states except New York which took first rank by a close margin the figures being New York $383.71 and California $367.19. In average net personal income reported California led all states except New York. Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and New Jersey, California's average was $3.225.11. In total net income reported California with its total of $1,357,524,521 passed all the states except New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. In percentage of the total income reported for the United States as a whole California registered 6.36 which was surpassed only by New York, Pennsylvania. STEAMER AGROUND PORTLAND, Ore., July 24. The steamer Sumanco of the Trans-Marine Corporation ran ashore in a dense fog off the mouth of the Columbia river early today, according to a radio dispatch picked up here by the Federal Telegraph Co. Dr. John Martin D. Davenida officially at the wood Congregational church was beautifully decorated with potted plants alternating flowers.
