WEST COAST WEST COAST, July 17. (Spl.) Misses Anna Leah Quinn and Marjorie Simons were Anaheim visitors Monday. Misses Ella Turner and Fay Norman of Brea were visitors on this lease, Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Lorneous are to be the new occupants of the Davis house. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Falkner motored to Los Angeles, Tuesday, where they spent the day. Abe Davis formerly of this lease and now at Huntington Beach was a visitor at the home of Honey Muzzall, Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Summers and sons of the Sterns Thompson lease, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simons, Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Schryer attended the California theatre in Anaheim Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Drake entertained Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Erby of Fullerton, Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Newell are the hosts of Mr. Newell's mother of Los Angeles, for a few days. Mrs. D. I. Ruddy had as her guest Tuesday, her daughter, Beulah of Anaheim. Little David Ruddy had the misfortune to have an accident while riding his bicycle, his foot slipping from the pedal and caught his leg, making a very deep gash about an inch and one-half long. As a result he is confined to his home but his leg is healing splendidly. Joe Vierra was another to have an accident last week. While working on an engine his wrench slipped and his finger was caught in the machinery, almost cutting it off. He was immediately taken to a doctor. He is back on the job again and reports it going on nicely. Some of those attending the dance at La Vida Springs Sunday evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Chris making a very deep gash about an inch and one-half long. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kinsley and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Greenwood are entertaining Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Faulkner of Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Falkner are the parents of Mrs. Greenwood and Mrs. Kinsley and so are being entertained by both. Mrs. W. L. Schryer accompanied by Miss Marjorie Simmons motored to Sleep Hollow, Sunday afternoon, where they had a very pleasant time. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Newell entertained a number of friends Sunday. The guests were: Mrs. Mary Conouer and son Clift, Mrs. O. Benitt, Mrs. Izella Shafer and son Robert of Los Angeles, and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and daughter, Dorothy of Hollywood. Mrs. B. E. Berry of Yorba Linda spent Sunday afternoon with her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Muzzall. Ed Flanigan motored to Los Angeles on business, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. V. B. Bowman entertained at their home, Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Benny Burnell, Miss Bowman and Mr. Vance Bowman at Jof Huntington Beach. Mrs. J. E. Muzzall entertained her two sisters, Monday, Mrs. Johnny Wise and daughter, Juanita of Fullerton and Mrs. W. L. Wheeler and daughters, Doris and Bonny of Saugus; Mr. Wheeler came later in the evening. Miss Olive Schryer and Mrs. W. L. Schryer attended the theater in Fullerton, Thursday evening. Mrs. Jack Goulden was an Anaheim visitor Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Orison Ruddy of Los Angeles spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. I. Ruddy. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Drake and son Afton, attended church in Richfield Sunday evening. W. A. Cornelius was one of the lucky ones at the Placentia drawing Saturday evening, having won $5.00. Mr. and Mrs. George Swartz formerly of this lease and now of Long Beach were visiting old friends here Sunday evening. Mrs. Lou Canat and son of Manhattan Beach were visitors on this lease Friday. Foster was a visitor in Anaheim Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Muzzall of Buena Park were visitors on the lease Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cable of Huntington Beach were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Simons, Thursday evening. Honey Muzzall has quite recovered from his recent illness and started back to work Monday. Ray Bowman and Tom Simons who have been spending a few days at Huntington Beach, returned to their homes Thursday. They reported a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hartog and baby journed to Long Beach, Friday evening, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Jake Jenson of that city. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Saindon former residents of this lease and now of Los Angeles, and Mr. and Mrs. Cle Winkle of Whittier spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Foster, Mr. Saindon has sold his place of business in Los Angeles and is starting in the near future for a trip thru northern California. Mrs. W. L. Schryer and Miss Marjorie Simons were visitors in Brea, Friday. BURNED TO DEATH IRONTON, Ohio, July 18.—Amy 12, Lindsay, 10, and Cornelia Barber, 8, children of Albert Barber of Coal Grove, Ohio, a suburb of Ironton, were burned to death in a fire which destroyed their home early today.
