BACK FROM C. C. SECRETARIES MEET
C. of C. Sec'y Geo. Reid was back today from the meeting of the Commercial Secretaries Ass'n in Hollywood.
G. G. Greenwood, president of Hollywood C. of C., made the address of welcome and was responded to by J. C. Metzgar of Santa Ana, president of the association.
The main address was by Clyde L. Seavey, president of the state railway commission. Seavey gave some interesting information concerning the operation of the commission. Many questions were asked him concerning various phases of public service.
A luncheon was provided by the Hollywood Athletic club, following which a splendid address was made by John Ihdler of Washington, D. C., who represented the United States C. of C.
At 3 o'clock 100 delegates were guests of Sid Grauman at Granman's Egyptian theatre to see the splendid picture, "Thief of Bagdad."
Immediately following the secretaries and families were escorted through Hollywoodland. After an hour's interesting auto trip they were most delightfully banqueted by S. H. Woodruff, owner of 2800 acres, a beautiful residential district in the hills to the north of Hollywood. Immediately following, they were escorted to the Elliottmore Play.
Tuesday was given over to committee work and general matters pertaining to the greater industrial development of the southland; also items of interest to the citizenship of California were discussed, such as the methods.
