Mr. and Mrs. Johnie Jones are rejoicing over the arrival of a 10 pound boy at their home on East First Street Sunday. Mr. C. H. Hopkins underwent an operation for appendicitis at the Marphy Memorial hospital in Whittier today. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Moore of Anahiem were accompanied by Mrs. E. S. Soler of La Habra to Pasadena Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Moore were also dinner guests of Dr. and Mrs. Boice on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Hilbert and two sons were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Guiches of San Francisco who are summering at Long Beach, Friday. In the evening, 10 guests accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert home, and the evening was spent in music and dancing. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Benson and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Benson spent Sunday on the sand at Long Beach. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Lorotz enjoyed Friday at Balboa Island. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Roberts spent the week end at Elsinore Hot Springs. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Helden, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sucksdorf and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Muchow attended a dinner party given by Mr. and Mrs. William Sucksdorf at their home in East Whittier Friday evening. That on the 24th day of April, 1924, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 182 to order the following described street work to be done in said City, to-wit: That a portion of West Santa Ana Street and bound area be extended 20-foot street lying between West Santa Ana and West Broadway Streets, approximately 140 feet East of the West line of Lot 47, Anaheim Extension, all in the City of Anaheim, California, be closed up in part. SECTION 2. That the land deemed necessary to be taken therefore and those portions of said streets herein proposed to be closed up are situated in the said City of Anaheim and are bound to turn to it.
