HOMER KELLEMS DIRECTS REVIVAL Rev. Leon L. Myers announces that Mr. Paul Henry Packard has cancelled all his dates in California. Mr. Packard has had two nervous breaks in his life after a public speaker and states that the symptoms of another are only too apparent and that he must protect himself against it. However, good fortune has it in this case that Homer Kellems is available. He is not only a singer of national reputation but also has won hundreds of souls in his work as an evangelist. Mr. Myer states that there is no reason why the meeting should not go right on since the music is par excellence, the crowds keep increasing, and the sermons are scriptural and appealing in their presentation of the Christ. During Homer Kellems work in America as an evangelist he has seen 12,000 souls walk down the alley to confess Christ as Savior. This is enough to cause the realization of a great opportunity to do good. The meetings will continue with Homer and his wife leading in song and sermon. The sermon subject tonight will be "Saving Faith." The duet rendered by Mr. and Mrs. Kellems will be two in number and of their very most beautiful songs "He Keeps Me Singing as I go" and "In the Garden." These beautifluousDUCTS are worth going miles to hear. All are welcome. By WINNER ANNUAL FISH CROP WORTH BILLION NEW YORK, July 3.—The fish crop of the world approximates a billion dollars a year in its cost to the "final consumer." Estimates of the value of the fish "landed" in the principal countries of the world supplied, by the United States Fish Commission to the Trade Record of the National City Bank of New York, but the world's total at the latest available date at approximately $780,000,000 per annum, and if we add to this, says the Trade Record, an estimate of 25 per cent for the cost of cold storage, transportation and the profits of the wholesalers and retailers, it is apparent that the world's fish bill approximates a billion dollars a year. Most of this $780,000,000 worth of fish landed annually by the fishermen of the world is the product of the oceans. Even in the United States, which, with its lakes and rivers, has a large supply of fresh water than most other countries, the value of the fish yield of the Great Lakes and the GRANT NATIONAL CARELESS SACRAMENTO one unforgiving regions, said Chief J. ley of the Yosemite National Park today, is carelessness with fire.
