NEW DODGE SHINES SUPPLY OF REQS ON MOUNTAIN ROAD
Purchasers of the new Dodge cars are finding out in mountain travel that the new spring suspension and special six-ply balloon-type tires are scoring an altogether new efficiency in protecting passengers from ruts and jolts in the road, says Charley Mann, local distributor.
The riding ease of the Dodge, even more than its striking good looks and its sturdiness combined with symmetry of line, is impressing buyers and prospects.
Both the four-passenger coupe and the special type sedan are marked by these qualities, while the seat depth and greater body length, to say nothing about the intrinsic goodness of the Dodge, proverbial in the public mind, are other attractions of both models.
52 USED CARS SOLD BY TAGGART
Frank P. Taggart's sales of used cars, particularly rebuilt Chevroletls, are running strong again this month. Up to June 25 more than 52 of them had been sold, with prospects good for materially increasing this total by the 30th.
Receipts of new cars have been averaging around 45 per month, ranging from 30 to 70. Last week a carload was received, but ordinarily 8 or 10 carloads come in at one time.
CARBURETORS ARE MADE NEW AGAIN
Perfect combustion consists of three things—equal carburetion, compression and ignition, says L. P. Barnhart, foreman of the Bob White Co.'s garage, which services Franklins, Hudson's and Essexes. Poor carburetor is the one flaw the operation of many an other.
Distributors and dealers of the Reo Motor Car Co., reduced their stocks by 1500 vehicles during May, according to records at the factory in Lansing, Michigan, which show that retail sales exceeded factory shipments by that number. A marked revival of the buying split is reflected in reports from all parts of the country received at the Reo factory from dealers, and a more optimistic outlook is expressed by retail merchants.
Motor bus business is making daily gains, officials declare, and the new Pay-Enter type of bus, designed to meet the demand for feeders for electric railway lines, is in good demand. More employees are being added to the bus division constantly and a great deal of attention is being paid the development of this branch of the business.
As an example of the volume of business being transacted by Reo distributors the company points to the fact that one distributor received a trainload of 42 freight cars laden with Reo vehicles recently.
Another 44-car trains carrying Reo cars exclusively will soon be shipped to the same distributor. When that shipment arrives he will have received his 44th trainload of automobiles from the factory since his company has handled the line.

Perfect combustion consists of three things—equal carburetion, compression and ignition, says L. P. Barnhart, foreman of the Bob White Co.'s garage, which services Franklin, Hudson and Esssexes. Poor carburetor is the one flaw the operation of many an otherwise good machine.
Barnhart rebuilds carburetors at half the original cost so that they are as good as new. He serviced airplane carburetors during the war, specializing on the zenith which is used on most of the warplanes. He knows carburetors from A to izzard.
He also did the carburetor work for branch distributors' houses for several years.
Barnhart takes out the carburetor, supplies defective parts, puts it together again and gives it a thoro testing until the owner of a machine is ready for any trip he likes.

CAR HERE TO JUMP
A free spectacle of such a marvelous character that people would travel miles and pay large sums to see, if it was staged in connection with a circus or a carnival, is being staged next week at Anaheim by the Overland Raiders under the auspices of W. R. Schanhals Willis-Overland dealer Monday and Tuesday June 30 and July 1 are the dates and City Park is the place.
If the Prince of Wales was going to ride in a steeplechase here tomorrow, the place would be packed with visitors from all over the country, yet this act is far more spectacular, they say, than anything the Prince has ever done, and the Overland Raider who rides this "Jumping Demon" will not fall.
An incline will be erected on the field d with a 28-foot gap at the bottom. The "Jumping Overland" hurdles down this incline, leans the 22-foot gap, clearing a high hurdle in the middle of the open space and lands raft, and sound on the other side, easing to a stop on the runway below.
No other carer ever been put through such a demonstration according to the Overland Raiders. The Raiders say the triplex springs in the Overland are largely responsible for the way it performs. Everybody is invited to see the "Jumping Overland" perform free of charge.

PUSSYFOOT HERE SUNDAY EVENING
William E. Johnson, better known as "Pussyfoot," world-wide traveler, lecturer and author who has demonstrated that a man can be a prohibitionist and a dog-gone good fellow at one and the same time, is to deliver an address at the White Temple, Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Johnson returned in January from a campaign in Africa, which his field secretary, W. E. Hull, of Westerville, Ohio, who was today completing arrangements for the meeting, said was successful from Cape Town to Cairo. One real thrill was when the wine-producers in Central Africa rigged up a meeting, reminding Johnson of former days when such outbursts were frequent and in one of which in London, England, he had an eye poked out.
The subject of the noted prohibitionist's address here will be "The Cross and the Crescent," telling much of the conditions as he found them in the dark continent. Half of his address will be given to discussion of phases of law enforcement in this country. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Dr. L. A. Banks, of Roseburg, Oregon, noted author and lecturer will accompany him.

ACCIDENTS IN COUNTY FEWER
(Continued From Page One)
weeks at a time, the decline in emergency cases is an important matter.
The Anaheim Sanitarium delared accidents were decidedly fewer. The local hospital and Johnston-Wickett Clinic handle a large proportion of the accidents in Northern Orange County.
The Anaheim Community Hospital was of the same view. In the past few weeks particularly, accidents had shown an appreciable decline.
The Fullerton General-Hospital one of the three or four busiest institutions of the sort in the county also has been handling fewer auto accident victims.
