Moss and son, Gene, of Arizona, started Saturday morning to visit Mrs. Torn's and Mrs. Moss' parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Thurman, at Lodl. Mr. and Mrs. N. Davis of Huntington Park were Friday evening dinner guests of Mrs. E. L. Cole. A. L. Tilton made a trip to Strawberry Flats Thursday. Mrs. Tilton, who had been visiting Mrs. Gerald McComber there for several days, returned home with him. Gerald McComber and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Snyder spent the week end at the McComber cabin. Miss Olive O'Connor of Venier and Miss Mabel Heliming of Orange were visitors at the J. B. Robinson home Saturday. Arthur Thurman left Friday for Calipatria, where he will be telegraph operator for a few weeks. Miss Mildred Bacon has beer on the sick list. Mann and children were Los Angeles visitors Saturday. Mrs. G. D. Snyder and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Wright attended the lecture given by the Ku Klux Klan at the Anaheim park Friday night. A number of automobiles passed through here Saturday, taking clubwomen to the barbecue at Laguna. Buena Park furnished four machines. William Shumacher's car was driven by Carl Snyder, J. F. Simpson's by Frank Jones and I. D. Jaques and C. L. McComber drove their own cars. Mrs.Wallace and baby of Oakland and Mrs.Kline of Los Angeles and Mrs.Pierce of Long Beach were guests of Mr. and Mrs.H.G.Bixby Friday. The menu will be: Chicken en and noodles, mashed potatoes posa, pickles, cake, blackberries and coffee. Mrs. Bacon has charge of the supper. Mr. and Mrs. William Root moved to Anaheim Friday. C. W. Grivin transected business in Los Angeles Friday. Fred Bobiman left Saturday for Seattle. Miss Leona Hilgenfeld is employed as assistant in the post-office. Misses Irma and Bertha Robinson attended a luncheon at one of the sorority houses at the S. B. U. C. Saturday. As it was Alumni Day for the Southern Branch, Miss Irma met many of her old classmates. Bertha will attend the university next year. Miss Florence Warren, who has been staying at her uncle's at Placentia during the absence of her parents, returned home Friday evening. Miss Florence Schofield sang at the commencement exercises of the junior college Friday night. Miss Schofield has been much in demand lately at the various entertainments. A joint meeting of the sanitary boards of Buena Park and La Habra was held at the home of C. W. Grivin of Buena Park Monday, June 9, for the purpose or considering plans for a proposed joint sewer outfall line for Buena Park and La Habra, connecting with the Fullerton-Anaheim-Santa Ana outfall sewer line to the ocean. D. S. Teeter has gone to Calexico to work in a butcher shop. C. H. Skytte returned Friday from a trip to San Diego. There was no evening services at the church Sunday and a large number of our people attended the baccalaureate services at Fullerton high school. Mrs. John Pace and her father, C. H.
