Chapman Personally Blocks Vice-Presidential Boomlet
NEW LAND, June 9.—C. C. Chapman of Fullerton, Calif., this morning personally squeezed a presidential boom in his be-launched in a meeting of the formal delegation.
When the delegation met, Capt. S. Clancey moved that the delusion endorse Chapman as a vice-presidential candidate. F. F. Peabody and F. V. Kessling opposed such action, stating that the endorsement of Herbert Hoover by the delegation was imminent.
Chapman himself then intervened and suggested that action upon Clancey's motion be deferred and the boom was laid away for the time being.
