HAS PEPPY MEET The Chamber of Commerce held its second meeting in Cypress school auditorium last night and Cypress folk turned out in full force. Harry Kratz of Long Beach, former president of Cypress, gave a very interesting talk on "Industries of Southern California. Mr. Krotz has great hopes for the future of Cypress and thinks it is ideally located for an industrial center. The program, exceptionally good, was opened by singing "The Booster Song." A piano solo by Mrs. D. R. Williams preceded Mr. Goddy who gave a rendition on "California." A quartet composed of Mrs. G. G. Priddy, Mrs. R. LaRue, Mr. A. C. Miller and Mr. W. J. Jennings sang two comic songs, "Rubber" and "A Love Song," which brought down the house. Seven members of the Central orchestra of Long Beach played several selections. Mrs. M. Hunt and Mrs. D. Williams rendered a vocal duet, "The Sunshine of Your Smile," which was very much appreciated. The business of the meeting was carried through with lots of pop. Mr. Priddy reported on the street signs and also the proposed through highway along the P. E. tractor. He said that the P. E. is willing to co-operate with Cypress and other towns along the line. The people along the Southern Pacific are working hard to get the highway over there so it behooves Cypress and other communities along the electric lines to work hard. Mr. Miller then appointed G. S. Priddy, G. B. Miller and Geo. Denny to work on the project. WOULD REMOVE ALL BANS ON AIRCRAFT SAN FRANCISCO, April 16. Removal of all restrictions on the construction of aircraft will be asked at the League of Nations conference, which will open in Brussels July 28, according to Count K. Kawamura, one of Japan's five delegates to the conference, who arrived here today from Japan. He also indicated that the immigration question might be brot before the conference. Japan, he indicated, might seek an agreement which would limit or exclude "lower classes" but permit free entrance to all nationals of the "higher classes" of the nations subject to the agreement. Yes, Ethel, psychoanalysis is a great help. Fristanée, if you dream of kissing a cat it means that you're subconsciously in love with some man who has a moustache. Miller, C. Lambler and G. B. Ledford reported for the orange show committee but said the directors of the show have decided to postpone the 1924 exhibition. Mr. Owens of Buena Park spoke on fire protection for Cypress. C. P. Bunyrrd extended an invitation to attend the farm center meeting the first Tuesday in May. The delightful refreshments were served by Mesdaines W. C. TIME TABLE A. T. & S. F. R. R.
