Scene From "THE DARING YEARS" Scene From "THE DARING YEARS" Never in the history of motion pictures has a photoplay depicted with such accuracy the passions and desires of youth as shown in Daniel Carson Goodman's dramatic masterpiece, "The Daring Years," shown at the United Theater on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. "The Daring Years" is a story of young love. Youth dares everything for love, contends Daniel Carson Goodman, author and producer of this unusual play. The story deals with the love life of a young college man, who blinded by passion, plunges deep into the mire of Broadway's mud. He falls deeper and deeper into the abyss, lured on by the sparkling eyes and mocking lips of a blaze cabaret beauty, until through circumstances over which he has no control, he is accused of murder. His mother and former sweetheart, who both adore him save him at the last minute from the electric chair, to which he has been condemned through the testimony of the shameless dancer. Under the masterly guidance of Mr. Goodman, the story reaches a stupendous climax, and the denouement of the play is thrilling and unusual to the nth degree. The cast boasts the finest stars in filmdom—Mildred Harris is the beautiful, wickedly bewitching dancer; Tyrone Power enacts the role of her father; Mary Carr is the mother of the boy, sweet and motherly and appealing as always; Clara Bow the adoring sweetheart; while Charles Emhall Mack enacts the role of the boy with unusual understanding and restraint. RELIGION NOT VOICE FROM OUT THE TOMBS "A man ought to have some very definite purposes in his heart before he starts in on such a campaign as we are conducting at the White Temple this Easter Tide. I assure you I have," said Dr. Gessinger pastor of the White Temple, to an interviewer today. "I believe that Christianity is a great going concern and that we Christians worship a Living Christ who is moving upon the lives of men and women today transformingly and I desire to help all those who will listen to me into a vital faith in this Living Christ. Religion, real religion is a glad, vigorous thing full of hope and courage and robustness. That is one thing I have in mind to invigorate the faith or men and women, to increase their spiritual vitality. "I take no pessimistic view of things today in spite of all the sin and evil in the world. In spite of the way in which things are shaken up I think we are beginning to see more and more clearly that righteousness is the true way of life."
