S. S. COUNCIL
CLOSES YEAR WITH PARTY
THE final meeting of the year for the Sunday school council of Calvary Baptist church, held at the H. H.-Knox home, was devoted to a social time although a short business meeting was held.
The company wended their way to the Knox home, carrying my terious packages and pails, which later formed a sumptuous pot luck dinner, served at 6:30. Including the children 30 persons partook of the repast, which was concluded with apple pie a la mode.
Guessing games, magic games and all sorts of jollification filled one of the very most pleasant times the council has passed.
Mebmers present were the Mesers and Mesdames M. F. Simens, W. L. Lundquist, J. L. Swarthout, W. E. Bartlett, J. P. Jenkins, R. J. Grange, M. H. Mayberry, H. H. Knox: the Mesdames H. T. Alsip, R. J. Ohland, Won Abplanalp, H. J. Wilson; the Misses Vesta Wawe, Lucie Abplanalp, Elizabeth Bartlett, and Merlin Swartout.

"KIDDIES" WHILE AWAY HOURS AT RIMPAU HOME
MRS. A. L. GOWDY reached her "sixteenth" birthday Monday, but the party was held yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Robert Rimpau, and 16 "little" friends of the honoree had an afternoon of childish pleasures.
The guests came beribboned and bearded and behaired, all of them having rolled their own, and the way those "children" romped around the lawn during the time photographs were taken denoted supreme happiness and childish abandon.
Music too, pleased the hearts of the happy "little ones" and many games occupied their attention, keeping them out of mischief until refreshment time. Of course much pleasure was derived from admiring and discussing each other's clothes and ribbons, as little girls always do.
A beautiful birthday cake bore 16 candles, in keeping with the seasonable St. Patrick's colors which adorned the rooms in every nook and corner.
A two-course luncheon included generous slices of the pretty cake and other sweets to please the palates. Shamrocks were presented as souvenirs.
In "grownup" life the guests were the Mesders A. L. Gowdy, the honoree, B. Woods W. E. Zeigenfus, M. Norwood, J. Gibson, Frank Dotts, D.E.Wright, Henry Havey, S.Rogers, E.Russell, F.Hager Hurley and the hostess.
Mrs. Rimpau was assisted in serving by Mrs. Roy Rimpau.
HEART AND HOME
FROM TWO GIRLS
Dear Mrs. Thompson: We are two girls, 13 and 14 years of age. We would like to know if it is all right to correspond with a slight acquaintance? We met her while she was passing through town. Is it proper to go to parties where the hostess invites the boys and the boys invite the girls? There are several nice hops in here!

Thick And Thin.
Yes, it would be all right to correspond with the slight acquaintance whom you met while she was passing through town. It is all right to attend a party with a boy when the hostess has asked him to extend the invitation to the girl he chooses to take. There is little you can do to become better acquainted with the boys.
Just be natural and hope that the boys will like you well enough to seek further acquaintance.

Dear Mrs.Thompson: I am a young man of 18.I have never gone with a girl.My boy friends who are younger and older than I go with girls and they laugh a me for not going with them.I tell them there is plenty of time.I think.I have a large number of boy and girl friends.Do you think I ought to go with girls?
Just A Country Boy.
I think you are old enough to start going with girls。它 is a part of youth and unless you do go with them you are missing a lot of fun.
Queries
Dear Mrs.Thompson: When a girl meets a younger man on the street, who should go on the outside? When a girl meets a young man, who should speak first? When a young man brings a girl from a party or from church should the girl ask the young man in the house if he didn't take her? How could a girl attract a young man's attention?
IGNORANCE.
The young man should go on the outside. The girl should speak first If it is not late.it is hospitable for the girl to the young man to come in not necessary to try to teach young man's attention per thing comes about nearby it is not necessary features make an effort.
