Miscellaneous BUILDING JUMPS IN LAST MONTH (Continued From Page One) Portland reports $2,607,965 for February, a gain of 46% over January, 55% over last February and 69% over February of 1922. Salt Lake, with $231,950 for February, shows a gain of 146% over January, 22% over last February, and 429% over February of 1922. Seattle's February figures, $2,217,330, show a 33% reduction from the January total but a 6% gain over last February and a gain of 262% over the total for February of 1922. Oakland reports $2,250,570 for February, showing a gain of 11% over January, 10% over last February and 58% over the total for February of 1922. Phoenix, with 308,250 for February, shows a gain of 155% over January, 378% over last February and 224% over February of 1922. The 50 California cities comprised in this survey show a grand total of $34,835,153 for February, a gain of 9% over January, 12% over last February and an $1% over February of 1922. Of the 67 cities now reporting to S. W. Straus & Co., for their purposes of this monthly survey, 36 show February gains over January, 37 show gains over February of last year, 50 show gains over February of 1922, and 25 show gains over all three previous totals.
