The opinion is based on the fact that every oil field thus far has either developed commercial production or showed signs of production before the 2800-foot mark had been reached. At less than 1800 feet E. J. Miley's Coast Land Company well has had a number of very good gas showings, and operators and geologists alike look upon the Miley well for the important developments of the Anaheim field. E. J. Miley, head of the Pacific Petroleum Corporation, has never had the pleasure of developing or discovering a new oil field, and—who knows?—this may be the honor that will be thrust upon the veteran operator. The MILEY WELL is located in the center of WESTEDGE TRACT. For the past several days good gas showings have been apparent at the well.
