News Stories Told by TRIES FEEDING HIS COWS FOUR TIMES A DAY; RESULT IS TWICE AS MUCH MILK Dayton Meta Pontiac Beets, champion butter cow of Ohio, and John Pogsett. By feeding cows four times a day and milking them at each feeding period (every six hours) John Hogsett, chief agriculturist of the Ohio state welfare department declares he is getting twice as much milk. The experiment was begun on the state welfare farms several months ago, and was first tried on pure-bred cows. Grade cows were put on the new plan of feeding later. It worked out successfully with both. No change was made in the amount of each ration, so the cows ate twice as much as they had previously. Counting the additional feed and labor cost, the experiment has so far been found profitable to the extent of more than $170 a cow. "NO WHITE WASH!" Although far from the battle lines, Mexico City is in a fever of excitement over the war against the Obregon government precipitated by rebels led by Adolfo de Huerta. Great lines of citizens cheer loyal troops departing to tame the insurrectionists. The revolution, however, has not interfered with the course of commerce and pleasure in the city, and "business as usual" is the rule. Theaters are attracting large crowds as usual. BURNS DENIES HE ACTED WITH THESE TWO AS McLEAN TIPSTER William J. Burna. "It’s a damned line" and "pure bunk" are responses of William J. Burns, chief of the United States secret service, and founder of the international detective agency which bears his name, to charges that he was tipster for E. R. Miles. He is accused of having instructed his former secretary, Mrs. Jessie Duckstein, wife of W. O. Duckstein, secretary to McLean, to reveal the oil scandal situation to McLean in Chicago.
