Next Tuesday evening the Community Dancing club will hold a hard-time dance at the La Habra Woman's clubhouse. It is understood that members will be required to appear in typical hard-time costumes. Arrangements have been made for good music and refreshments. Among the changes in business places in La Habra is the transfer of the M. H. Mills Co., grocery to C. F. Dodds. This sale has been announced by W. P. Mills, manager of the store, since its opening in La Habra a number of years ago. Mr. Dodds is known in the business world of La Habra as he was formerly in the Rock Bottom store. They reside on East First-st. Mr. Mills will retain the fresh fruit and vegetable and candy departments. G. P. Armstrong will continue in the meat market. It is planned to call the new arrangements the Central Market, with each merchant carrying his own name and department in addition to the group name. The chicken roost of J. L. Morris on the state highway and North Cypress was riffed off its tenants. Mr. Morris estimates the loss about 70 nice laying Rhode Island Red hens. The machine was carried below the corral and the wife of one corner cut, giving the chicken easy entrance to the chicken yard. This is the third roost to be robbed in the past month, all on the state highway. Members of the Monday After-club and their husbands are entertained by three members, Mrs. J. H. Walker, Mrs. W. Y. York and Mrs. F. E. Proud at the parlors of the Baptist church Monday. Pink and green in nut cups, candies, and favors made a pleasing effect. A most delicious dinner was served at 7 o'clock, which was followed by an evening of merry games. Mrs. George Wolf as toastmistress, proposed "Our Husbands," C. E. Tower responded with a toast to "Our Ladies." Mr. York told what the Monday afternoon club meant to "Our Husbands." Mrs. Taylor told why women bob their hair. F. E. Proud saw La Habra from the Heights. Mrs. Tower of Long Beach made a few remarks on her happiness in being able to come back to La Habra often. After the dinner the evening was spent in playing games. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ellis have moved to Whittier. Mrs. Ellis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Noble of North Lemon-st. Riley Says Today we have the most extraordinary collection of reconditioned automobiles ever placed on exhibition in any salesroom in Southern California. Every one of our used cars has been thoroughly overhauled in our shop, which is second to none in its arrangement and modern time saving equipment, under the most competent supervision by the best crew of mechanics to be found anywhere. Every minute detail is attended to, every part is cleaned and inspected and any that show wear or defeat is replaced. The upholstering, curtains and top are then carefully gone over and repaired or replaced if necessary. All tires that show less than 75 per cent of their original value are replaced. The car is then thoroughly tested and when found to be running perfectly, it is sent to the paint shop, where it receives a high grade guaranteed paint job. Every battery is registered with one of the leading battery shops, and is guaranteed by them for 90 days. We have no hesitancy in standing squarely behind every used car after it has gone through such a thorough reconditioning, and honestly guarantee every one of them will give perfect satisfaction. The fact that our used car purchasers are boosters, is conclusive evidence that our policy makes this the safest place to buy a used car. Note: We have buyers waiting for Light "6" Studebaker Roadster, Coupe and Sedan. HARRY D. RILEY Studebaker Dealer Phone 550 Anaheim, Cal. FRITZ HORBACH of Golden State Real Estate Company 'GET THIS STRAIGHT' Get in on WESTEDGE TRACT while you can. Don't overlook the greatest chance for big profit on a small investment that has ever been offered. Consider these facts: WESTEDGE TRACT lots are not small "oil lots" but full size building lots, 49x104 feet in dimension and located close in to West Anaheim city limits on high and dry ground. One thirty-six (not one three-thousandth) of one-sixth of all oil from Miller Well No. I, drilling on center of tract, goes with each lot. A 3000-barrel well would give each WESTEDGE lot owner 14 bbls, oil per day. The price on these lots is ridiculously low. Try and duplicate a WESTEDGE lot at our figure within several miles of Anaheim Improvements, oiled and graded streets, electricity and water, guaranteed for the tract if no oil is found. If you are not a land owner in the Anaheim oil district a WESTEDGE TRACT lot will enable you to participate in the big profits that land owners will enjoy when oil is brought in. A very few lots left at $695.00 each and a down payment of only $145.00 secures one. FOR RENT—116 S.
