CLAIMS "OTHER MAN" BROTHER
"The "other man" in the case of Mrs. Ida Sanders, whose husband accused her of attending a dance at Yorba Linda with an unknown man, was her own brother and her husband knew it, she testified today before Superior Judge F. C. Drumm, who granted her a divorce from Wilford Sanders on her cross-complaint. Sanders lives at Powler, Presno-co.
"After he had filed the suit against me I met bira and asked him why he had made such a silly charge against me when he knew that the man was my brother," said Mrs. Sanders, adding:
"He said he didn't want his lawyer to put that in the complaint but the lawyer told him they had to put something in it."
Mrs. Sanders testified that her husband had threatened her when she refused to come back to him, following their separation. She introduced a letter in court to show such threats, and her counsel, M. B. Wellington read a brief excerpt from the letter, in which Sanders told his wife that he might kill two" but for the sake of their little daughter, 4, and that he "could not be stopped by power of law or man."
Mr. Sanders was granted custody of the child.
