AUTO PATROL IN SERIOUS CRASH SAN PEDRO, Feb. 29.—Two police officers and two prisoners were badly injured, and four other prisoners were cut and bruised early today when a heavy police patrol machine collided with a truck loaded with sand during a heavy fog at Main and Anaheim-six. Officers George Goss, driver of the car, and Robert Lennon, who was guarding the prisoners, were removed to the White Memorial Hospital. Two of the prisoners were also treated at the receiving hospital here. An immediate investigation was launched into the crash. Goss said he was driving at a fair rate of speed thru the thick fog. COUZENS ATTACKS ANTI-BONUS HEAD WASHINGTON, Feb. 29.—Senator James Couzens, Republican of Michigan, today wrote a hot letter to Knowlton Durham, head of the ex-service men's anti-bonus league, denouncing the league's methods of opposing the bonus as "reprehensible" and asserting that the "sources from which you received your campaign funds could well be given the light of day." Couzens' letter was in reply to a letter from Durham asking Couzens, as a business man, to contribute funds to the league's campaign. E. P. SMITH IMPROVING E. P.
