Miscellaneous PARK COMMITTEE INSPECTS POOL City Council's park committee yesterday inspected the park buildings preparatory to acceptance of the work. The grant stand is finished, the plunge practically so and other minor structures are either completed or will be very shortly. The plunge could not be accepted because it is still unfinished, but the grandstand was. The plunge will be open to whites only every day except Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:50 p.m. On Mondays others than whites will be admitted during the same hour, except that holidays are reserved to whites. These regulations are said to be exactly the same as those at the big open air plunge in Colton. For admission to the plunge 10 cents will be charged minus of 1s or under and 15 cents to adults. In that case lockers are used, and are free. Dressing room will cost 10 cents; towel five cents and suit 10 cents. Those prices are subject to change, if necessary. The pool measures 50 by 150 feet and the enclosure is approximately 65 by 200. There are 55 dressing rooms and six showers for men and 70 dressing rooms and five showers for women. Inclusion of a big outdoor sawn "parlor" on the women's side is a feature. Lockers are not yet in the dressing rooms are. The latter are painted inside and out and are well in keeping with the high quality of the building as a whole. The filter plant and water system belong to another contract.
