WILKINSON DOES EFFICIENT WORK
CLAIM ANOTHER INSURANCE FRAUD
DETROIT, Mich., Dec. 7.—A man believed to be Walter Loupe,
33, who disappeared from his hom ein-Grand Junction, Colo., after taking out $130,000 worth of life insurance and, according to police, embezzling $36,000 was arrested on a fugitive charge today.
OUR SACRIFICE OF MEN'S CLOSE IS proving a marked success — AND NOW OVERCOATS, SHIRTS ARE ADDED.
G. R. WILKINSON
No little of the success of the Central Memorial Park has been due to the efficient work of the sales organization, not only the energy put into the actual selling but the methods used in getting together the men, coaching them and putting the necessary enthusiasm into them to secure success.
On G. R. Wilkinson, the general superintendent of sales, has devolved much of this hard work. That his efforts have been successful is conclusively shown by the quick rise of the Central Memorial Park to the peak of success as a sales organization.

On G. R. Wilkinson, the general superintendent of sales, has devolved much of this hard work. That his efforts have been successful is conclusively shown by the quick rise of the Central Memorial Park to the peak of success as a sales organization. That he has able lieutenants go without saying, but on him has in most of the responsibility of direction and much of the planning.
Mr. Wilkinson has been a resident of this district for some time. He came here from the state of Washington where he was engaged in educational work for eight years. He found his possibilities in this line so limited, however, that he entered the financial security field. From salesman with his house he soon rose to a managership. Four years ago he was placed in charge of their Long Beach office and developed it into the concerns largest and best office in the west.
He was afterwards put in charge of the Los Angeles office for a big financial house. He has had great experience as a sales manager and in the field, selling. In his present position as general superintendent of sales of the Central Memorial Park he has got together and trained over 250 men and women in one of the shortest periods of time on record.
Mr. Wilkinson was educated at Washington University but spent some time also at Harvard taking a special course. He is very much liked by his sales force and is a highly respected and very acceptable citizen of California, where men of initiative, energy and well directed ambition are welcome indeed.
CONGRESS TAKES FIRST VACATION
By WILLIAM K. HUTCHINSON
(L.N.S. Staff Correspondent)
WASHINGTON, Dec. 7—The next congress took its first vacation today while leaders of both parties struggled to complete organization of party lines within the house and senate.
Considerable study was given to the effects of the president's first annual message. Party leaders in conference sought to distribute equitably the assignments on important legislative committees and among fortunate Republicans, a number of congressional patronage appointments.
The legislative effect of the president's message was startling.

Considerable study was given to the effects of the president's first annual message. Party leaders in conference sought to distribute equitably the assignments on important legislative committees and among fortunate Republicans, a number of congressional patronage appointments.
The legislative effect of the president's message was startling. Out of approximately 1500 bills also tossed into the badly jammed legislative mills at both ends of the capital, hundreds dealt directly with the president's recommendations. Quite as many were in direct conflict with Mr. Coolidge's proposals as were in support of the administration's policy.
Three of the president's important recommendations were endorsed just as he desired in bills now awaiting consideration by committees yet to be formed. These were proposals for disposition of the immigration problem, the racial question and child labor.
In addition, Democratic leaders were drafting a measure to carry out his suggestion for American participation in the permanent court of international justice.
Both Republican and Democratic senators introduced bills which directly opposed the presidential recommendations for treating the prohibition, agricultural relief and railroad problems. Democrats also were preparing measures for tinkering with the Fordney-McCumber tariff bill, which the president expressly said he did not desire. Other legislators were ready to attack his disposition of Muscle Shoals and tax reduction proposals.

J. J. Hansen, Dyer, paid a fine of $25 in justice court today because he swung around the corner of the Dyer road and Newport boulevard too sharply, and struck the auto driven by Mrs. Mamie Lee, Costa Mesa. Efforts were made to show Judge Cox that Mrs. Lee was partly to blame but the judge held that Hansen should have kept to the right of the turn.

ORNSTEIN RECITAL
FILLS AUDITORIUM
Only most favorable comment was heard today on the concert given last night by the Russian pianist, Leo Ornstein, who appeared in the high school auditorium under auspices of the Weber Music Company, of Anaheim, the Nelson Music company of Fullerton and the Orange County Piano company.
The house was well filled. The program contained several of the young man's own compositions and many of the good old fashions.
The Ampico demonstration connection with two or three Mr. Ornstein's numbers was greatly pleasing and his appalling music as well as of the ticular instrument was a comment.

NAB SANTA CLAUS UNDER MASK LAW
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7.—Joe Johnson, a cook and the father of five children, was arrested here this afternoon for violation of the city anti-mask law while appearing in front of a downtown store disguised as Santa Claus.
The arrest was made by an investigator from the city prosecutor's office and Johnson was charged with appearing in public in a disguise without a permit.
Johnson, after his arrest, was taken to the office of City Prosecutor Fiedlander and there striped for his whiskers and heavy white hair. Fiedlander declared he did not have the heart to put Santa Claus in jail and warned Johnson to secure a permit before continuing in the role of Kris Kringle.
