JOLLY TRIO IS LIFE OF WOMAN'S CLUB BAZAAR BUENA PARK Woman's club is setting back in her easy chair this morning feeling perfectly satisfied with her bazaar and entertainment presented yesterday and last evening in the Masonic temple there. The committee, the Meadames W. B. Shaw, Cliffey, Ed Mann, L. J. Robertson and several assistants were responsible for a very happy evening. The Country store, wherein Uncle Josh, (N. D. McDowell) the Pat Boy, (L. C. Wilsey) and Sallie (Miss Anna Fiske) were entertaining and superlatively polite assistants, was well patronized. Contributions to the stock were made by The Peck Hardware store, Boston Bakery, Style Shop, Art shop and others, of Anaheim and music was enjoyed on the Columbia phonograph, also a donation from an Anaheim music store. Fullerton and Buena Park merchants donated generously to the stock. A fish pond, fortune telling booth, candy, fancy work and plant booth all were popular places and did thriving business. The proceeds from the bazaar will total about $250. The three jolly characters, Uncle Josh, Fat Boy and Sallie, made a decided hit and no doubt their services will be in great demand henceforth and forever. The beauty contest was a very close one and resolved itself into a contest wherein, not the beauty of the contestant was at stake, but which side could get checks written the faster, as each candidate had equal support. Miss Fiske clinically won out and when time was called Miss Virginia Roberson's backers were still writing checks for voting. The Buena Park Woman's club Popular Girl Weds The marriage of Miss Rose Oahu Kellogg, daughter of the late H. Clay Kellogg and Mrs. Kellogg, to Mr. Albert Eugene Chast, of Los Angeles, is an event of interest to northern Orange-co. Her mother, Mrs. Helen Kellogg, is a prominent club and fraternal woman and the bride herself is a member of the Order of Eastern Star. White Shirreth and the Amarrenth, her mother being presiding officer of the latter. The wedding was celebrated in the olenwood Mission Inn, the double ring ceremony having been performed by Judge Aibbard, a lifelong friend of the bride's late father. She was given in marriage by her mother. Included in the guest list were Mr. and Mrs. Chast, Mr. and Mrs. George Young of Elsinore, Mrs. Kellogg, mother and Mrs Helen Kellogg, sister of the bride. Their home will be made in Santa Ana with the grandmother of the groom during the erection of a pretty bungalow home. The bride's father, H. Clay Kellogg, was a well-known civil engineer of Orange-co, passed away about one year ago. Since her graduation from Santa Ana Junior college Mrs Kellogg had been connected with the James Confectionery and was the complimented guest at a party by her co-workers recently. Many other pretty courtesies were showered upon her in anticipation of the coming event. Vacation in the Mountains A merry party composed of a jolly group left early Sunday morning for Lake Arrowhead and returned last evening. The various diversions of the mountain resort were enjoyed. UNITED OFFERS DIFFERENT SHOW Manager Langvay wishes to announce that he has procured for a 3-day engagement, opening with the Sunday matinee, and the three nights following, the Norton Fun Show. This attraction has come to this theater under the highest of recommendations, and is a real fun show of good, clean comedy. A few years ago, Falstaff seemed to be the king of mirth, but in so doing he left his mark upon the ones that partook of his enjoyment in different ways to gain fun and amusement. But no so when you see the Norton Fun Show. You will enjoy laughter from the time the curtain rises until it drops. Dr. J. B. Norton, king of laughter, who is the head of the company, guarantees his performances to be all he claims for them; and if you are out for real clean amusement, and an act of high merit, you will be able to enjoy such at the United theater with its opening next Sunday matinee, with four following performances. Each and every one are complete and entirely different. Dr. Norton promises the audience something new, as we might term it, strictly modern in the way of psychology and mind-reading. It is scientific, and not only that, but it is a real laugh show, and is full of comedy during the entire performance, which lasts almost two hours. This act has recently left the Marcus Hineman and the Schubert out of Chicago, so do not fall to enjoy three or four evenings, with a show that is different. ANAHEIM TREATMENT ROOMS Shoes! Price!
