City council has agreed to call
for bids on two sewer lines to connect with the city system and the new outfall. They will cost about
$25,000.
One 20-inch line will run through
the present sewer farm for 1302
feet from Loara road to Garden Grove road.
Another line of 12-inch for 6500 feet and 8-inch for 3000 feet will extend from U. P. tracks in Anaheim to Browning's Corner, the end of Anaheim's outfall line. There will be 12 manholes. All pipe will be vitrified. Bids will be opened Nov. 22.
Cox and Teget are pushing the 27-inch line rapidly north on Garden Grove road to the sewer farm. They are now at the Ball road and will complete their contract is a few days.

Several people from here attended the funeral services of Mrs. Flora Davis, which occurred Tuesday in Los Angeles. Mrs. Davis was well known here and was a relative of Mrs. Lucy Quigley, Mrs. Gardner and Mr. Arnold.
Funeral services for Henry Starr, whose death occurred Tuesday, will be held today at McAulay's funeral parlors. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Clementine Starr, and three sons, all grown—Edwin, Walter and Harry—and all of whom reside here.
H. B. Ludford of Torrance, who formerly resided here, is visiting at the Will Lynle home for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Pickering and the latter's father, Joe Fadley, motored to San Diego on Wednesday for a few days' vacation. The Pickering twins are staying with Mrs. Bacon and daughter.
Friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hargraves learned with regret of the death of their grandson, born to Mr. and Mrs. Hargraves of Ontario last week. Funeral services were held Monday at Anaheim.
Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Knight and family are attending the birthday party of a small nephew at Huntington Beach today.

Another social affair of interest to take place next week is the Hallowe'en masquerade dance, given by the Eastern Star Social club. This will be given Oct. 31 in the Masonic hall. The committee report that they will have splendid music and the affair is for those only who enjoy a good dance. In this way the Women's club party and this dance will not interfere with one another, as they are on consecutive evenings and one is a party for both old and young, and the other will be a splendid conducted dance, with prizes given for the best to win.
