GREAT PIPE ORGAN HEARD THIS EVENING
Mae Marsh rides runaway hunter and has a strenuous experience in her new photoplay marking her screen return.
"Until my portrayal in 'Paddy-the next-best-thing' I hadn't done any really strenuous hoseback riding for some time," says Mae Marsh, the dainty little star who sprang into fame in "The Birth of a Nation," and who has returned to the screen in the title role of this release which will be shown at the United Theatre tonight and tomorrow.
"Fortunately for me, however, I had been keeping in good physical condition on my ranch in Northern California, and when they staged a genuine Irish hunt for 'Paddy' I found myself quite at home once I had learned the ritual of the event. We had a real fox and everything. The master of the hounds has occupied that position in the O'Meath club, county O'Meath, Ireland, where we staged the hunt meet for many years and he took a great liking to camera acting. We were at it for three days."
What Miss Marsh did not say was that in a race between herself and Darby Foster, who played the role of Lawrence Blake in "Paddy-the next-best-thing," her mount ran away and carried her some ten miles through an Irish country side before she managed to get the mare under control.
Along with this magnificent little Irish comedy drama, the United Theatre tonight will open the mumouth new pipe organ for the first time, with Mr. Oscar H. Yost, famous organmaster, at the console. With a new Larry Semon comedy, "The Midnight Cabaret," it will be a bill that no one will want to miss.

STILETTO LEADS TO LATIN FEUD THEORY
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5.—Revera-tion that a stiletto, as well as a pistol and hatchet, was used to murder Rosario Micchele, today convinced authorities that they had to deal with the culmination of a Latin feud to find the slayer.
The elusive young woman, known as "Trixie" and said to have been a companion of the dead man, whose correspondence was found among Micchele's effects, was still sought by the officers today after they had interrogated two women, Mrs. Grace Glanette and Dorothy Sterling.
At the same time the return of Micchele's new automobile truck to his home by an unidentified person gave added mystery to the case. Micchele was seen driving the truck a few hours before his death. The machine then dropped from sight.
