Americanization Work
To start the ball rolling for definite assistance to the children of Palm-st school, members of the W. C. T. U. of Anaheim, after hearing the excellent talk by Miss Tracey, one of the teachers of the school, laid plans for serving a cup of hot chocolate each day to the 250 Mexican children. The ladies have further plans also, among them being the contemplated donation of 50 little tin cups in which to serve the chocolate or other nourishing liquids which are sometimes provided. Americanization work particularly in the sugar factory district, will be zealously pursued.
The attendance at the meeting, which was with Mrs. T. H. Walker, was very good indeed. Mrs. Estella Harper, county president, reported the recent state executive meeting. Arrangements were made to adopt the portion of work as laid out by officers for this particular section.
That Miss Tracey's talk was especially fine, was the unanimous report from the ladies and that more audiences might hear her message is the ardent wish of the local organization.
