YORBA, Sept. 25 (special). — A very pretty enjoyable, and enjoyed party was the one tendered by Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Yorba last Saturday in honor and as a farewell to their little grandchild, 5-year-old Miss Zenobia Yorba who, the following day, left for the convent school of the missionary sisters of the Sacred Heart in Los Angeles. All of the 50 friends invited, to the party were present and had a merry time, what with the sumptuous repast provided, music and games played, so that it seemed that only a little while had elapsed before they all stood and gave the honoree their parting good wishes ere taking their departure. Mr. and Mrs. Yorba were assisted in entertaining by their daughters, the Misses Alma, Carrie, Ethelinda and Ydalia Yorba, and sons Marcos and Albert Yorba; and also in the tute-lace of Zenobia's motor trip to the city school.

Salvation Army Home Service Campaign for 1923 starts Sept. 25. An arrangement is being made to canvass the people of Anaheim for funds for maintenance and extension of all branches of Salvation Army work now being conducted in Orange county.
Foremost in the Army's activities has been and always will be the readiness to render individual relief to persons in distress as well as to assist cases of local disaster. In its more than 50 years' service to humanity the Army has rendered a vast amount of temporary relief, giving aid first and asking questions afterwards.
It should always be borne in mind that the facilities of The Salvation Army are part the experimental stage and the organization is prepared to give immediate service in any emergency.
Many hours are spent by motherly souls, sisters of comfort and cheer, in the visitation of the sick. Medicine and doctor's services are provided when necessary. No questions are asked as to creed, religion or race; real need are the only credentials necessary to get help from the Salvation Army, so let everyone respond real liberally when called upon by the campaigner.—ADJUTANT G. E. GUIREY, Field Representative.
