Miscellaneous SIEGEL WONDERFUL IN "STOP THIEF" "Stop Thief", the offering this week of the Fred Siegel Stock Co., at the United Theater, made one of the greatest hits ever accorded a stock company on a speaking stage. Mr. Siegel is wonderful in his part and his reorganized company fit the other parts like an old glove. It was a very smooth performance. Every funny situation and chance for a laugh was brought forward in such a manner that the capacity audience was keen in a continuous uproar during the entire two hours of the play. Mr. Siegel is to be congratulated on bringing together such a versatile and capable company. And those of you who did not see his performance last night will do well to avail yourselves of the opportunity either tonight or Tuesday night. It is a performance well worth seeing. "Stop Thief" is from the pen of America's foremost comedy writer, George M. Cohan, and certainly surpasses his well known standard of high class farce comedies. On the same program is "Her Gilded Cage", with glorious Gloria Swanson, as the dancing sensation of Paris and Broadway, and supported by such well liked stars as Harrison Ford and Walter Heirs. And to balance the whole, is one of the funniest of "Our Gang Comedies", "Giants vs. Yanks." The same bill will be shown again tonight and tomorrow.
