BEST WISHES
DENVER, Sept. 6.—The National Federation of Federal Employees, in annual convention here today greeted with loud applause a telegram from President Coolidge extending best wishes for the 'success and enlarged public service of the federation,' and "assurance of a desire to co-operate with you in promoting the welfare of those in government employ."
One hundred dollars was appropriated from the federation's treasury for the Japanese sufferers.
BAG DOZEN DEER AND FOUR HUNTERS
REDDING, Calif., Sept. 6.—Nearly a thousand hunters are in the lava beds of Modoo county seeking mule-tail deer, according to reports brought here today by men returning from that region.
In spite of the vigorous campaign, only twelve muletails have been bagged to date, it is reported.
So far three hunters have been shot by mistake and one has been killed.
FILE INCORPORATION PAPERS
The Tri City Associates, Inc., filed papers of incorporation today in Santa Ana. The directors are of Balboa, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach and the capital is $45,000 of which $50 has been subscribed.
FENDERS PUNISHED IN TRIPLE CRASH
A machine driven by Charles Yaeger, Fullerton, yesterday, struck a car belonging to Hubert Bown causing Bown's machine to strike another car parked directly ahead.
The accident occurred in front of the Mission Court apartments on East Chapman ave., Orange.
Yaeger, who reported the triple crash to police, stated that he was traveling west on Chapman ave when Bown, driving a Citrus Tire Co. car, swung out from the curbing. The triple smash followed.
Only the fenders were damaged, the report stated.
RAILWAY VALUES
Total valuation of railway properties in the county taxed by the state are as follows, according to County Auditor W. C. Jerome:
Santa Fe $2,233,760.10; S. P. $2,232,600; Pacific Electric $2,140,-456.40; Los Angeles and Salt Lake $941,-365.80; The Pullman company, $62,420, making a total of $3,377,602.30.

The Orange County Bankers' Association has secured Henry M. Robinson, President of the First National Bank of Los Angeles, for its speaker at the next meeting to be held in Huntington Beach Sept. 13.

Phil D. Swing, congressman, will be the guest of the Fullerton C. of C. at noon September 19, it is announced. LOS ANGELES, Sept. 6.—Federal authorities interested in the efforts made to free Elmer Green, suspended customs inspector, and J. M. Patton and Raymond Jones, from charges of conspiracy to violate the customs and prohibition laws, believe they have thwarted an alleged scheme to cause a reduction of the charges against them.

threatened her life, Hazel Tinsley declares in a divorce complaint filed at Santa Ana. She asks costs, general relief and title to the community property, consisting of furniture. They were married at Porterville, April 24, 1920. There are no children. They separated on July 26 last.
Marjorie L. Hyde in a suit for divorce from Roma G. Hyde charges infidelity. They were married at Placentia, Sept. 27, 1920, and separated on May 20 last. There are no children.
Villa Fuguay in a suit against Henry Fuguay alleges many cruelties, including an attempt on July 11 to choke her, false accusations of infidelity, desertion on July 19, 1919, after which he did not return for years, and non-support during his absence.
She asks alimony, custody of two children of five and three and general relief.
SEIZE GREEK ISLES
LONDON, Sept. 6—Italians have seized the Greek islands of Merlera, Fano and Mathraki, near Corfu, according to a General News dispatch from Rome this afternoon.
It is reported from Triest that the Greeks have arrested many persons, including two men who are charged with being the actual assassins of General Tellini.

GENEVA, Sept. 6—The League of Nations assembly meeting was postponed indefinitely today, owing to the decision of small nations to make a sensational fight upon the floor for intervention in behalf of Greece.
The meeting was to have opened at 11 o'clock this morning.

FINOLE, Calif., Sept. 6.—Oma man was blown to atoms and ten others were injured when a ton of nitroglucerine exploded at the Hercules Powder Company's plant here today.
The dead man is believed to be William Haggerty. The explosion shattered windows within a radius of five miles from here.

Reorganizing and adding to its stock, the former Modern Gas Appliances has changed its name to The Modern Appliance Co. and moved from 133 South Los Angeles-st to 127 West Center, where it has considerably larger quarters.
Harry I. Horn has joined the firm as secretary-treasurer. Frank B. Harden is president and N. H. Cox vice-president, in charge of the Santa Ana branch.
The feature of the stock will be the Direct Action ranges with Lorrain oven heat regulator, Pacific gas radiators, flor furnaces and unit furnaces, Federal water heaters, Hay-Glo fireplace heaters, mantle grates, and recess bath heaters, and Vulcan smooth top ranges.

OhYMPIA, Wash., Sept. 6.—Myron E. Sinclair today starts serving a sentence of from four to fifteen years in the state penitentiary at Walla Walla and his father, Percy I. Sinclair, faces arrest for their part. In the alleged embezzlement of approximately $100,000 from the Southwestern Washington State Bank of Illwaco, Wash.
Myron Sinclair, cashier, shouldered all blame for the descrepancies.

STOLEN CAR IS FOUND IN COUNTRY
W. M. Classen who lives near Fullerton said at the local police station this morning that his car which had been stolen Monday has been recovered a few miles out in the country near Garden Grove, Mrs. Classen drove the car to Anaheim Monday.
