It will remain closed until National Bank Examners conclude the investigation of its financial affairs following the alleged defaication of Fred W. Hecht, second vice-president and cashier, who is in jail on charges of embezzlement, unable to turnish $50,000 bond. AWARD $5000 DAMAGE Five thousand dollars damages were awarded yesterday after a jury in Superior Judge William D. Dehy's court to Mrs. Celia Nolan for the death of John H. Nolan, killed in an auto crash. Mrs. Nolan's nephew, Oliver H. Umberhan, who was driving the car in which the Nolans were, and J. D. Wineburner, both of Santa Ana, were the defendants.
