HARDING CABINET STAYS IN OFFICE WASHINGTON, Aug. 15.—The U.S government under the administration of President Coolidge will stand ready to respond to any request for assistance in solving the European reparations problem, so long as the giving of such assistance does not involve this government in Europe's private political quarrels, it was officially announced at the White House. The administration has made carefully prepared plans to insure the nation a continuous fuel supply this winter in the event of a strike in the anthracite mines. The plan, briefly, would be to flood the country with substitutes for hard coal, an official spokesman for President Coolidge declared. The Harding cabinet will remain indefinitely at the request of President Coolidge. Each member has agreed to remain with the new administration. It was announced that Secretary of the Treasury Mellon, the only absentee, has informed the President by cable that he will also remain for the present. American recognition of the Obregon government of Mexico is assured. A treaty of commerce and amity covering all points of dispute between the two nations is in existence and ready to be signed. Promulgation of the treaty will be followed by formal recognition of the Mexican government. SANTA ANA DIVORCE MILL KEEPS BUSY The Santa Ana divorce mill continues to grind, and not over slowly.
