Miscellaneous SECOND TRIAL FOR FALSIFYING LICENSE Aug. 15 was 201 yesterday afternoon for a new trial of Victor Torterice, accused of falsifying his affidavit to a marriage license which he obtained recently at the county clerk's office. Torterice is a former Chicagoan and left a wife there, it was learned today. The first trial on Aug. 2 was found to be irregular in that two of the witnesses told one or more of the jurors of the Chicago wife of the defendant, thus creating an error. In the opinion of C. N. Mozley, deputy district attorney, the same result, conviction, will be reached in the second trial as in the first. SEEK RELATIVES OF SAN DIEGO SUICIDE Does anybody in Northern Orange County know of Felix Vogel? City Marshal Claude Rogera of Santa Ana today received this telegram from Coroner Schuyler C. Kelly of San Diego-co: "Felx Vogel committed suicide in this city. He has a daughter who married Benny Yorba and lives either in Santa Ana, Orange or Anaheim. Will you please see if you can locate her and wire me reply?" Ben Yorba of Placentia is not a relative, Rogers learned. MABEL NORMAND IS SEVERELY INJURED LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16.—Mabel Normand, film actress, is confined in a local hospital suffering from a broken collar bone, nerve shock and a bruised left eye, as the result of being thrown from a horse Sunday at Coronado, it was learned here today. Miss Normand is said to have ridden her mount for several miles along the Coronado Beach and to all appearances he was gentle, but when she headed him toward the surf he turned and broke into a run, throwing her to the ground and then tried to paw at her. She escaped the animal's feet by rolling over several times until out of his reach. It will be several weeks before she recovers, according to physicians. Ink mistakes may be eradicated by acid in a small vial at the top of a fountain pen recently put on the market.
