LA HABRA, Aug. 4. (Spl.)—Miss Ora McClelland of Fort Smith, Arkansas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McClelland, Fort Smith, was married to Mr. Clifford Rank Wednesday at noon at the home of the groom's parents Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Rank of Los Nitos. The Rev. Kinell of the First Brethren Church at Whittier read the ceremonies. The bride wore a gown of white satin crepe carrying a shower bouquet of rose buds and lilies of the valley. A reception at the home of the groom's uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Wampler in Whittier after which the couple left for a short honeymoon trip to Catalina Island and Big Bear Lake. They will make their home in Whittier. Mr. Rank has been employed by the M. H. Mills Co. in La Habra for several years, he has made a host of friends during his stay here. Will continue his work with the M. H. Mills Co.
Those who are spending their vacation at Forest Home are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hart.
Miss Josephine Taylor was a visitor at Santa Ana recently at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. C. Catland.
The Springer heirs gathered at Echo Park in Los Angeles for a picnic Sunday, there were about 200 present to meet the president of the association, Mr. James Murry of Chicago, who is working on the fortune left the Springer heirs in Wilmington, Delaware. The estate is said to be worth 500,000,000. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Markel heirs were present from La Habra.
Mr. Clarence Jamison of South College, received news that his brother David Jamison of Brea, died at the Annheim hospital Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock as result from imminent death of Mr. and Mrs. H. Lualian of East Central avenue.

Mr. Clarence Jamison of South College, received news that his brother David Jamison of Brea, died at the Anaheim hospital Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock as result from injuries received in an automobile accident on the Brea canyon road Saturday night; when the car overturned. Mr. Jamison suffered a compound fractured skull. An operation was performed but he was unable to recover. The body was removed to the McAulay Purlors in Fullerton. Funeral arrangements have not been made yet. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Hamison and two brothers, one Brea and Mr. Clarence Jamison, LaHabra. His brother Nelson died at Fullerton July 5th.
A burglar entered the home of Mrs. Wilfey on East First street, entering one of her tenant rooms, M. C. Perkins and acquired his best suit and several dollars in cash Friday. The burglar made his entrance into the house about 3 o'clock in the morning. Mr. Perkins could not defend himself as the intruder carried weapon. The burglar also secured $15 in cash from Mr. and Mrs. Hafen. The burglar escaped but the Santa Ana police were notified and finger prints have been taken for further identification.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McGrath and daughter Georgia and Miss Mary Bolice returned from a two weeks vacation in the northern part of the state Saturday.
Quite a representative body of men from La Habra, accompanied the officials of the LaHabra Domestic Water Co. on a tour of inspection to the new reservoir just completed on the company property on North LaHabra Heights.

Olson motored to Huntington Saturday evening after a swim in the plunge they enjoyed a picnic lunch on the sand. They told jokes and stories around the bon fire. LOS ANGELES, Aug. 4—H. H. Dolley, state "dry" chief, was in Los Angeles today to check over conditions here, in San Diego and other border points.
Next week the dry chief will preface at the hearing of 18 druggists and doctors, whose rights to dispense liquor have been attacked.
