Dear Mrs. Thompson: I am a girl 21 years of age and have been keeping company with a young man 22 years of age for nearly one year. He has told me several times he loved me. Do you think he really does?
BLUE EYES.
You ought to be able to judge for yourself whether the young man loves you or not. If he is devoted to you and shows no interest in other girls he probably does love you.
Dear Mrs. Thompson: Will you please tell me what to do with prespiring feet? I have tried almost everything there is. I put on clean stockings every day and sometimes twice a day, but they are no better I also wash them.
Please give me a remedy that you think will help, as I always feel so embarrassed.
WORRIED.
Following is a formula for prespiration of the feet: Glycerin; one ounce; Kennedy's extract Pinus Canadensis; one ounce; water, two ounces; essence of bergamut; two drames. Mix and apply twice each day.
Dear Mrs. Thompson: Is it proper for the young man to buy the bride's wedding clothes? Who is supposed to pay for the wedding invitations? Who pays for the wedding dinner?
MRS. E.
It is decidedly incorrect for a girl to let her financee buy her wedding clothes. She should be married in the best thing she has if she cannot afford something new.
The bride's father or guardian pays for the wedding invitations.
The bride's father or the person giving the wedding for her, pays for the dinner.
Dear Mrs. Thompson: I am a girl of eighteen and I am in love with a very nice young man. We are engaged to be married soon. I am rattier small for my age and all of my friends call me "Shorty" or "Bobby." My friend isn't quite as old as I am, but all of our neighbors think he is a young teen of twenty-one, for he is large and has old actions. He thinks I am too old for him? My mother is dead, but Father thinks a great deal of this young man and does not object to our marriage. His parents like me and also do not object. I love him dearly and could not live without him. Do you think it would be all right for us to marry!
BRIDE-TO-BE.
You are not too old for your nuance. I think, however, that he is very young to marry and even if he has been saving money I would advise you to wait a year or two longer before you marry. A young man of eighteen rarely makes enough to support a wife.
