Copus is a patient at the Anaheim hospital, where an operation for appendicitis was performed last Saturday. Mrs. Copus is reported as improving nicely. Stanley Berkey entertained a group of his friends at a theater party at Grauman's Metropolitan theater in Los Angeles on Thursday night. The guests were Misses Margaret Goldie, Efuel Evans and Gladys Rowland and Messrs. Ted Corcoran, Charles Peckham. The Buena Park Public Library will be closed all day Wednesday, July 4. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Smith are the parents of an eight-pound boy. Mrs. Smith and son are at the Buena Park Sanitarium. Mrs. J. F. Simpson has returned to their summer cottage at Tujunga, after spending several weeks at her home here. Mrs. Fisher has returned to her home in Arizona, after a visitor of several months at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Nelson. Mrs. Ivan Ellmore and daughter and Mrs. O. R. Dano motored to Los Angeles on Thursday. Dr. Julian P. Johnson announces that he has closed his Fullerton office and will devote his entire attention to the Buena Park Sanitarium. The doctor states that his practice here has grown to such an extent that he was unable to give the Fullerton office the time it required. Several officials of the Southern Pacific Railway were in town again on Thursday doing some more investigating of the recent wreck. IDENTIFIES BANDIT (By International News Service) LOS ANGELES, June 30—With the identification of Ed Frohn, bandit suspect, slain by Police Sergeant Bethel, by W. J. Black, El Segundo mail carrier, police today sought other persons who could identify Frohn as a highwayman. Black, upon looking at the dead man, said with two others Frohn had held him up two weeks ago and took his mail pouch. SCOTT MOVES INTO NEW REALTY OFFICE Harry E. Scott is now occupying his new offices at 128 E. Center-st., having moved from 123 N. Los Angeles-st., where he has been for some time. Associated with him now are R. H. Beat, Geo. M. Varnum and Louis P. Dunlap. Mr. Scott does a general real estate, fire and life insurance and oil security business. He has taken a long time lease, and by putting a new front and decorating the interior made it suitable for offices. SCOLDED; SUICIDES (By International News Service) SAN DIEGO, June 30—Scolded by her mother for having been in the company of a young man yesterday evening, Miss May M. Railroad stocks held their own fairly well, except Del & Hudson, which broke about 4 points to 104½, rallying at the finish to 105½. Government bonds unchanged; railway and other bonds steady.
