See than two brushes to a customer HEYING It Pl Glamour and Romance In 'While Paris Sleeps' There is no city in the world perhaps, the mention of which brings so much to the mind of the average person, as Paris. One's mind unconsciously reverts to that famous section of Paris known as the Latin Quarter — that gay, volatile quarter of the city given over to the abode and activities of artists, writers and Bohemians. It is this picturesque setting which furnishes the locale for Maurice Tourneur's production, "While Paris Sleeps," at the United today and Thursday. It is an adaptation of Pans' "The Gloomy of Love," and depicts the love of a beautiful model and a young American youth visiting in Paris. Lon Chancy, who achieved fame in the terrorizing character of "The Frog" in "The Miracle Man," is here seen in the role of a sculptor in the Latin Quarter, and gives what is considered one of the finest interpretations of his career. Jack Gilbert portrays the character of the young American, and Mildred Manning essays the role of Bebe Lavache, the sculptor's model.
