A QUIET wedding yesterday united in marriage: Miss Lydia Hein and Mr. Bert Nuebauer. The nuptial rites were solemnized in the Salem Evangelical church at 3 o'clock yesterday. The couple was attended only by Miss Elise Nuebauer as bride's maid and Paul Nuebauer, best man, brother and sister of the groom.
The young bride was very attractive in her suit of brown with smart hat, and rain pumpe and hose to match. Miss Nuebauer wore a radiant silk dress in an attractive style.

In remembrance of her twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, a large party of friends, dropped in to pass the evening with Mrs. A. A. Smith of 270 S. Olive-st, Orange. Mrs. Smith is society editor of the Plain Dealer.
Miss Dorothy Perkins, niece of the honoree, came to take her aunt for a walk. They went to the library and made a leisurely trip home. When they returned home, Mrs. Smith was surprised to find the house dark. She walked thru to the dining room and was stunned when she saw the room full of intimate friends.
They greeted her with "surprise" and many tokens of friendship, including several gifts of silver in the century pattern.
Several talented members of the party played old time musical numbers. Games were also played. A quantity of old clothes was put in two suitcases and the happy bride had to put the clothes on and take them off before her opponent did. She was well rewarded. Cheery conversation helped pass away the evening hour.
Brick ice cream and cake were served by the self-invited guests.

GUESTS OF HONOR
AT LUNCHEON
THE EBELL meeting yesterday, the final one of the year, was an extraordinary nice one, almost the entire membership gathering with past presidents as the honored guests.

Mrs. Terry, president of the club, a "three-in-one" president, as it were, past, present and future, presided, and presented Mrs. Kathry Dyer, first president of the organization, and at present an honorary member of the club. Mrs. Dyer gave a snappy talk on "Building," which was the keynote of the afternoon. She, as first president, represented the foundation and open doors. Mrs. Ida Dutton, another past president, spoke of what club building means to a community, she representing the cornerstone and windows. Mrs. H. O. Henderson delineated music and its charms to build, as supplemental to the other talks; Mrs. C. E. Chamberlain told of the clubwoman of tomorrow, and Mrs. J. H. Kellenberger contributed ideas on retaining interest in attendance.
Mrs. J. L. Van der Veer with a delightfully intimate talk on friendship was thoroughly appreciated. The toasts were concluded with a few words on Loyalty and Love by Mrs. by Mrs. Terry, in which she referred to the bricks as loyalty and the mortar as love.
