JOHNSON KILLS 2
BIRDS WITH 1 DEAL
(By Davis J. Walsh)
(L. N. S. Sports Editor)
NEW YORK, May 30.—Byron Bancroft Johnson may be all his enemies claim him to be but the reported sale of the lied Sox over Harry Tennyson well known head makes it clear as though Byron still swims some influence in American League play. Johnson has been gunning for Frazee for some years. It is reputed, Frazee is about to sell the club to friends, the transaction represents a personal and political victory for the former star of baseball.
It is barely possible also that Johnson was moderately pleased by the fact that Colonel T. L. Huston sold out his share in the New York Yankees to Jake Ruppert (Huston and Frazee were the irreconcilables of the American League circuit). They were pronounced null-Johnson men.
Just what hand the president of the American League held in the transfer of Huston's stock is not known but the coincidence whereby Frazee is said to be ready to depart from baseball is almost too spontaneous to be natural. In fact, baseball men are about ready to concede that Johnson may have killed two birds with one deal.
If it had not been for Huston Frazee and Charlie Comiskey, owner of the Chicago White Sox, they would have been no baseball war over the sale of Carl Maya to the Yanks. Ruppert was a party to the controversy only for the sake of appearances. He is a Johnson man at heart and always was.
Huston is now one of baseball's dear departed. He has sold out his half interest in the Yankees to Ruppert and no longer controls a vote in American League affairs. Frazee, so it seems, is about to go, taking with him the polite regrets of the entire league. That makes it look very sour for Comiskey.

"YOUNG FARMS"
These acre tracts intensively cultivated can produce handsome returns. An actual 1.05 acres of good land close to town at $1795:00 is certainly a sound investment. A first payment of $295, and the balance in five easy annual payments. Persimmons, citrus, vegetables or chickens should pay out big on these acres. Compare the price with any acre tracts in the district.
"Palomar Homesites"
Wonderful building sites at remarkably moderate prices in a location where values are rapidly increasing. High, level lots, rich soil and an abundance of shade. Well restricted and nice new homes now under construction. All improvements in and ready for you to build. A few choice lots may still be had at original prices of $1375 and $1475 on easy terms. These lots cannot be duplicated at within several hundred dollars of the price.
"Keep an Eye on Cypress"
In addition to Cypress Home Gardens lots we can deliver acreage 5 to 4 acres in extent. Many people are taking advantage of the opportunity

BLUNDER CORRECTED
Civilians should not salute the flag as it passes. Instead, they should come to a halt, if walking, stand at attention, and remove their hats with their right hands, placing the hat over the heart.
A man is just a bundle of habits wrapped up in an appetitle.
Life is just a short season of dog-ing jitneys, taxes and jury service.
"Keep an Eye on Cypress"
In addition to Cypress Home Gardens lots we can deliver acreage 5 to 40 acres in extent. Many people are taking advantage of the opportunity offered in Cypress investments at prevailing low prices. Should oil be brought in by the company now preparing to drill at Cypress this land can easily advance many times over present prices. Land itself is a sound investment for farming purposes.
