LOUIS, May 24.—Elaborate preparations are being planned to accommodate 100,000 visitors at the Bridgeton Field, where the National Air Meet will be held October 1, 2, and 3. Seven races for the heavier-than-air planes are on the programme for the meet. On the first day the Observation Plane Race for the Liberty Engine Builders' Trophy and a "Jenny" race for JN-4 planes and OX-5 planes will be held. These planes are used in army training. Both light and heavy planes will be entered in separate races on the second day, while the Pulitzer prize race and a competetive race for model planes will be held on the final day. A prize of a $6,000 cup for the best flight by a model plane has been offered by B. H. Mulvihill, vice-president of the National Aeronautics Association. During the three-day meet numerous air stunts and feats will be exhibited.
