MARKETS TODAY'S QUOTATIONS BY International News Service STOCKS CLOSE IRREGULAR NEW YORK, May 10.—The stock market closed irregular today. California Pet rose 5 points to 91, reflecting expectations of a dividend rate, when present shares are split up on a four for one basis. Pittsburgh and West Virginia advanced nearly 5 points to 50½. American Can at 93½, was up about 2 points. The general list, however, registered losses from a fraction to 6 points at the close. Government bonds unchanged; railway and other bonds steady. Stock sales 1,044,500 shares; bonds $11,556,000. GRAIN TURNS WEAK CHICAGO, May 10.—After a strong opening, graing prices on the market were turned weak and at the close were considerably under yesterday's close. Cash grain tightening was held mainly responsible, but liquidation was also a factor. Wheat closed ½ to ½ lower; corn finished ½ to 1¼¢ off. Oats was %¢ less lower. Provisions shared the weakness. Lard, ceiling off 20 to 22¢ and ribs 15 to 20¢ lower. LOS ANGELES PRODUCE LOS ANGELES, May 10.—Butter 47. Eggs: extras 31; case count 27; pullets 28. Poultry: Hens 22; broilers 24 and 26; fryers 40.
