Mother of two children, Mrs. Thelma Ross Ashbaugh,
defeated young girls of the city in a contest to determine
the most popular girl in Youngstown, O. Her babies,
Thelma, Jr. and Russel, Jr., as cunning as two dolls,
helped mother "bring home the bacon." The voters fell
in love with the babies, then their lovely mother and she
won by a heavy majority. The contest was not a selling
proposition, simply the people of the city clipping newspaper coupons which they cast at a downtown balloting
office. Mrs. Ashbaugh will have the leading role in a
moving picture to be made soon. She is prominent soccially, dancing frequently at charity benefits.
