PARTY WHILE AWAY FARM AFTERNOON
The pretty home of Mrs. V. K. Chandler in the Cypress-Hanson district housed a bevy of ladies yesterday who passed the farm afternoon over bridge.
The fragrance and daintiness of the pink sweet peas used decoration left a cooling cheer to the robes which, with the charming hospitality of the hostess and her sister, Mrs. Dandy, made the affair one of the most pleasant of the early summer.
Three tables of bridge gave the chief entertainment of the hours with Mrs. Gill winner of high score and Mrs. Probst of consolation. Both received pretty rewards.
A collation was served at 4:30 in was centered with a bowl of the lovely sweet peas in delicate shades. Guests of the club were Mrs. Dandy, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Case a recent arrival from the east. Members present were the Mesdames Gill, Clark, Gerratt, Cole, Salter, Covey, Messsmith, Shlan, Bennett, Protel, Trapp. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Qovey.

He also urged that girls and boys be impressed with the advantage of courtesy, and particularly of respect to their parents and elders. Mr. Steelhead's talk was not a criticism of present day triangling, but an appeal that more courtesy and self respect be taught with a little less on personal adornment.
It was remarked by many of his hearers after the meeting that the mothers who are absent from the P-T. A. meetings are missing some...
