EMBARASSING NEWS
By JOHN EEWING
(Pformer United States Ambassador
to Honduras; I.N.S: Special Correspondent)
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, April 29.—Mrs. Jesse Carson, who is under arrest here and who has virtually confessed that she is Clara Phillips, notorious "hammer murderer" of Los Angeles, declared today that she will fight extradition to the last ditch.
Asked if she would admit point blank that she is Clara Phillips, the prisoner said:
"Certainly not."
She contradicted this denial by saying:
"Some people may not want me back in Los Angeles so bad as they now seem to desire. I can probably tell things which will make it very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Anyhow, what's the use of giving up the fight until it is over."
The woman was asked to tell about her escape from prison.
Oh, that will all come out when they get Clara Phillips," she responded. "I can't say anything about that."

It will be seen from the above that to treat but a portion of wells to be abandoned each year, by a process designed to habilitate or reclaim them would involve work that would tremendous proportions. But not only do the wells to be abandoned offer an attractive field for such operations; those that producing but a few barrels per day, may also be considered possibilities from this standpoint. To compile a table showing the average falling-off in production per well, per year, we require calculations that are unnecessary at this time.
Some idea may be gained however by taking the case of certain state. From the figures for the state of Oklahoma for stance, we may arrive at an average in the falling-off in production for the wells in that state during a period of nine years. Necessarily these figures can only be approximately correct considering any particular field or locality, as they apply to are a general average of all the wells in all the field of the
