PLAN TO RE-DRILL HAMILTON NO. 4 With the Standard Oil Company's Brownrigg-Keller No. 2 drilling at the great depth of 5300 feet it looks like the property was going to have only one producing well on it. Brown-Keller No. 1, at 4752 is a 3000 barrel producer. No. 2 a stone throw away north fails to find even a showing. The Standard's Pacific Clap Pipe No. 2 is another important test well whose progress is being watched closely. Pacific Clay Pipe No. 2 is getting close to 5500 feet and as yet has not shown much encouragement. Splendid time is being made on Watson No. 1. Some 4260 feet of hole has been drilled and it will not be long before a line will have been gotten on the property. The famous Hamilton No. 4 is getting ready to redrill and go on down to the deep sands. At 4696 Hamilton 4 has made a very creditable showing on production and has yielded some handsome dividends. Due to the development of some water recently and a partial decline of the production it was thought advisable to deepen the well. In the Meyer sand Hamilton 4 will no doubt make a great producer. The greatest producer of the week at Santa Fe Springs was brought in on the Star Petroleum property by W. M. Keck. Star Petroleum No. 2 was completed at 4575 and started off with an initial production of 12,000 barrels. The well has settled down to 8000 and is making the usual gravity. The Universal Oil Company came in for a nice well with the completion of O'Connell No. 2 a 4000 barrel producer at 4699. This is the largest producer the Universal Oil Company has secured in the Springs field and its coming in undoubtedly marks the Universal's future progress and success. At Huntington Beach the feature of the week was the bringing in by the Amalgamated Oil Company on the Miley-Reek lease 2000 barrel well. Miley-Reek No. 31 drilled to 4707 tapped the deep sand area of the southeast section of the field and came up to expectations for a producer. Deep record production will get another jolt downward when the Buena Park News BUENA PARK, April 24.—(Spl.) —The Ladies Aid of the Congregational church have secured Miss Lucy E. Wolcott of Long Beach to give a musical program on Friday evening at the school hall. Miss Wolcott will be accompanied by Mrs. Hermine Toenzer Gainsford, who is very highly recommended. Mrs. Galsford will also give some piano solos. The money received from this entertainment will be added to the fund for the new carpet for the church. Mother's Day was observed at the Fullerton High school on Friday and a number of Buena Park mothers took advantage of this day to visit school. Among them were Meadames A. Nelson, J. B. Robison, S. F. Hilgenfeld, E. P. Mann, Fred Bastady and R. H. Meyer. Mr. Harry Perch of Los Angeles was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Girvin over the week-end. Mr. Billy Thompson of Tia Juana was also a guest at the Girvin home on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Dano spent the week-end with Mrs. M. M. Shaw at San Bernardino. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Crump and children visited at the Johnson home at La Mirada on Sunday. "The Old Maid's Convention" was the name of the play given at East Whittier School on Friday night. Miss Irma Robison was one of the cast. A number from the Park went over to see the play, among them were Meadames J. B. Robison, E. L. Cole, George Cole, Fred Bastady and H. H. Haggarty. Richard Nelson of U.S.C. spent the week-end at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs.A.Nelson. Bill and John Mitchell, Clyde Lovett and Bert Duce took in the show at the California theater on Sunday. Miley-Keck No. 31 drilled to 4707 tapped the deep sand area of the southeast section of the field and came up to expectations for a producer. Deep record production will get another joint downward when the Huntington-Downey Oil puts its No. 1 at Huntington Beach on production. Huntington-Downey No. 1 was completed at 6115 and the well has shown indications of being a commercial producer. The outlook for a producer of the Jaggers Oil Company increases as the hole goes down. At 4900 some very encouraging showings were found and it appears now that this outpost well will come into its own. The Jaggers oil interests were recently taken over by a close corporation called the Down East Oil Co. The management is very successful and backers of the original Jaggers company it is understood will be taken care of. The new company has had experience in petroleum development and will put the Jaggers well on production if there is any oil to be produced. G. & L. LEASE C. & L. LEASE, April 25.—Messrs I.
