PARKFORD MAKES GOOD AT BEACH With Oil Operators E. A. Parkford, one of the pioneer developers of the south side of the Santa Fe Springs field, is making good at Long Beach. Parkford completed his first producer a 4000 barrel well. The well is located on the Betz property and was drilled to 4142 feet. The big well is producing 27 gravity oil and bids fair to stand up with guy of the producers of the field. Joseph B. Dabney's success at Long Beach is getting to be a matter of course. His completions are averaging about two wells a month. Dabney completed No. 15 in the deep sand at 4510 and brought in a 2500 barrel well producing 26 gravity oil. No. 6 is reorilling and deepening at 4000 feet and will be back on production in a few weeks one of the big wells of the Long Beach field. The Del Angelo Oil Company one of the smaller concerns that has found the Long Beach field a bonanza for the small operator is about ready to complete and put on production a second well. Del Angelo No. 2 at 4425 looks like a 3500-4000 barrel well. The General Petroleum has a number of surprises about ready to be sprung in the way of deep wells. Black-Drake No. 2 at close to 4900 feet will probably make one of the greatest producers of the Long Beach field. It will be remembered that Black-Drake No. 1 made a great showing in the top zone. No. 2 has every advantage for making a record well and the General Petroleum will soon be recouping its losses from the trade action of Black-Drake No. 1. The General Petroleum's Jasper No. 1 has passed the 4500 foot mark and it is taking on the encouraging indications of a good well. Signal No. 1 redrilling at 4800 feet and SCOCO No. 1 at 5000 feet are two wells that will be heard from when they go on production. CLABAUGH AGENT FOR WHOLE WHEAT The Motive for March, published for J. H. Clabaugh of 115 S. Olive-st., distributor of whole grain wheat, is full of good things. It shows how proper food will transform the health of little folks. Clabaugh in an announcement says: "Because food means life and health it is a subject deserving our earnest thought and attention. The motive aims to give information about natural foods, for it has been found that natural foods invite health and provide the body with the strength to maintain health.
