NEW SALES PLAN
INTEREST MANY
Announcing a plan whereby practically every wage earner can now purchase a new Ford car, Henry Ford has again demonstrated his desire to assist the working man to own an auto.
This plan will interest more millions throughout the world than any other announcement made in recent years by any manufacturer.
"It has been Henry Ford's lifelong ambition to build the universal family car, and to put it within the reach of every one," declares George Dunton, local Ford dealer, in describing the revolutionary sales plan.
"Realizing that there are over 20,000,000 wage-earners in this country the large majority of whom do not own automobiles because of the large down payment required, the 'Ford Weekly Plan' has been worked out for their benefit. During the past 15 years, over 7,500,000 Ford cars have been placed in the hands of buyers—more than a million and a half of them within the last 12 months—and yet there are still millions of families who are hopefully looking forward to the day when they can own a Ford. And now the way is open."
"Briefly, under the Ford Weekly Purchase Plan, the banks are co-operating with the Ford dealers in making it easier for the prospective Ford buyer to complete the purchase. You simply make an initial deposit as low as $5, then select the type of Ford you want—touring car, runabout, coupe or sedan—and arrange to make weekly deposits, on which interest will be paid by the bank at the regular savings rate. Within a few months the car is delivered, and the balance can be taken care of on a similar basis of weekly or monthly payments. The same plan also applies to Ford trucks and Fordson tractors."
There is no question about the practicality of a systematic savings idea. During the past year, for example, $190,000,000 were deposited in banks by people throughout the country in "Christmas Savings Funds," to purchase gifts for others. Is it not reasonable to believe that a plan whereby the individual accumulates funds that will purchase a Ford car, thus bringing pleasure and profit not only to his family but to himself, will result in real satisfaction.

ST. LOUIS, April 11.—Confidence that George Sisler would appear at the initial corner for the Browns this season was expressed by doctors today.
All doctors refused to predict when Sisler would be back in uniform.
"A doctor would be very brave indeed to make a prediction of this kind," one of the attending doctors declared. "The whole matter depends on developments following his operation for sinus trouble, which probably will be performed next week.

EUROPE'S CONDITION DUE TO HATRED
BY DAVID M.' CHURCH
I. N. S. Staff Correspondent
LONDON, April 11.—Europe's Bill Sunday A great emotional upheaval which would bury centuries of the old hates would probably do more good in settling European affairs than any other single force.
Europe's sadly complicated condition is probably due more to hate, fear and suspicion than to other more tangible elements and until Europe ceases its hating and its suspicion, it is going to continue in a state of unrest and upheaval. It will take a tremendously powerful man to bring an end to this hating, and perhaps he should not be a statesman. After all, The kindly and philosophical David Lloyd George has tried to make Europe forget the past but his success however, were only temporary.
