HEALTH EXPERTS' MEETING IN JUNE NEW YORK, April 5.—Seventy-two nations will send their leading educators and child health authorities to the International Health Education Conference at Oakland, June 28 to July 6 if invitations sent out by the American Child Health Association, are accepted. It is expected a prince of the royal blood will represent remote Siam, in the person of Prince Mardi Songkla. The South African colonies, China, Japan, the East Indies, all the South American countries and the Levant will send delegates, along with representatives of the countries of Continental Europe. The association, whose administrative headquarters is in this city, has dispatched 1000 invitations abroad and anticipates hundreds of acceptances. The conference is to be held as a part of the World Conference on Education, called by the National Educational Association of the United States. The American Child Health Association was recently formed by the merging of the American Child Hygiene Association of America, Herbert Hoover is the president of the new association, and Dr. L. Emmett Holt and Dr. Thomas D. Wood are its vice-presidents. In addition to these 1000 invitations sent abroad 2000 will be dispatched to leading educators, nutrition experts, ministers of health and biologists in this country. Phone:975 NEW SCHOOL READY The new $20,000 school building in El Modena is awaiting acceptance by directors. The architecture conforms to the other one. The new building will take care of the growing community for some time. The present school was overcrowded, three grades having to use the basement. The attendance has grown to 250 pupils in two years. Plans are made for a kindergarten department at the fall term. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Jones had planned to leave those month for a trip to England but conditions being so unsettled they have decided to build before they go. The home will be erected on their ranch north of the tract. The building will be a modern, six room bungalow 32x43 and the construction will be of stucco. Mrs. Ed Wagner of Anaheim was hostess of a birthday dinner on Easter Sunday celebrating the birthdays of herself and Mrs. Hounsand. Mrs. E. E. Barnum is living on the ranch again after spending the winter with Mr. Barnum at Needles, Mr. Barnum will return in a few weeks. Rev. and Mrs. Nell entertained several old friends at dinner Sunday. Notice is further given that all sums levied and assessed in said assessment-roll are due and payable immediately and that payment of the sum is to be made to said Superintendent of Streets within Jirty (20) from the date of the first publication of this notice, which said notice was first published on the 1st day of April, 1922. All assessments not paid before the expiration of said thirty days will be declared to be delinquent and thereafter the sum of five per month upon the amount of each delinquent assessment, together with the cost of advertising each delinquent assessment, will be added therefo.
