Daniels and Clyde Williams dates back to the earliest period of the tire trade in Anaheim. Indeed Mr. Daniels is undoubtedly the pioneer of tire specialists in this city. He came to this city in 1913 from the grand old state of Pennsylvania and on his arrival here he started the old Anaheim Vulcanizing Works on South Los Angeles Street. At that time the auto industry was still in its infancy and the vulcanizing of tires was a very active art. Mr. Daniels tells us that from the start it was necessary to work in the shop both night and day, so that he might be able to take care of the large volume of tire repair work that came into his place of business. It was a new art in Orange county and many autoists came here to have Doctor Daniels heal the wounds of their run down tires. Vulcanizing was in its early stages and Mr. Daniels followed most skilled of service—Mr. Daniels and Mr. Williams have made a record for themselves in the business annuals of Anaheim that they may well be proud of. Their trade is growing from day to day—not only with local people, for they do a good business with outside autobists, and they are always personally on the job to see that all of their clients get the best degree of workmanship and a pleasant service. They bow to no other when it comes to the art of their chosen profession—years of hard work and volume of tire repair work that came into his place of business. Recently Mr. Williams associated himself with the firm and today a little visit to the fine shop at 211 North Los Angeles will speak eloquently of the evolution achievement of this old tire house.
