Prices have reached the point of stabilization and the weird fluctuations of war days and post-war days are a thing of the past. During the halcyon days the cost of men's accessories was just about twice that of today. The $25 shirt, for example, may be purchased for $12 or $13. Neckwear marked at $3 is now down to $1.50 and the range of prices is correspondingly lowered throughout. White Silk Shirts Popular While the silk shirt has been making desperate efforts to regain its progress has been quite slow in the last two years. Cows In summarizing the year's records of the Cowtesting Association of the Dairy Department of the Farm Bureau, some idea of the productivity of the bovine inhabitants of Orange County may be gained. Indicating that Orange County may well be proud of her dairy cows as well as her oranges. Throughout the year there was an average of 686 cows tested each month. These produced 6,971,000 pounds of milk, 289,023.4 pounds of butterfat. The average production per cow per year was 8,510 pounds of milk; per month 851 pounds. The average production of butterfat per sow per year was 351 pounds; per month 35.1 pounds, with an average of 31 per cent of the cows in the association producing over 40 pounds of butterfat per month. The average test was 4.1 per cent butterfat. The average production of butterfat in the Testing Association of the state is approximately 250 pounds per cow per year.
