DOTY IN 'PINK' FOR DOUGLAS CONTEST
Battling Doty, Winterburg boy, who meets Jimmy Douglas, fast Phoenix lightweight, in the main event of tonight's boxing show at the Athletic Clubs Arena, reports himself in the "pink" and expects to turn the table on the classy Arizona lad. Boty has faithfully trained, and will have no excuses if he is beaten.
oDuglas, wired from Phoenix yesterday, where he was called unexpectedly last Saturday on account of his mother, who is quite ill, that he is O. K. and expects to be here on time and on the job. Jimmy feels that as long as he won before he should repeat without any trouble.
The semi-windup between clever Jack Moore and that fast colored mixer, Blackie Rice, should also be a dinger, for both are fast and willing fighters and pack a mean punch. They are middle weights.
The special event brings together tough Jake Poole of Covina and Tobby Montoya from Fullerton. Plenty fur should fly. The preliminaries promise to furnish lots of action. Young Kid McCoy and Frankie Pico hook up in a return that looks good. They are flyweights and fast workers. Tommy Reddy and Ernest French tangle at 130 pounds while Pete Brown and Fred Perry start proceedings.

MABEE & MEYERS AT FAIRYLAND MAR. 15
Arrangements were completed today by which the Fairyland theater was obtained March 15 for the challenge match between Roy Mabee, Anheim's rancher-wrestler, and Johnny Meyers, world's champion middle-weight grappler.
Meyers will probably be given his first introduction to an Anaheim crowd next Tuesday noon when Manager Larney Lichenstein may be prevailed upon to introduce him at the luncheon of the Kiwanis club. Meyers would probably give a demonstration of his famous "stopper" and other holds.
Meyers has been drawing $10,000 and $15,000 houses in his home town of Chicago where his lightning fast work has proven more popular than the shows put on by the heavier boys.
Mabee wrestles "Tag" Tageson at Riverside tonight which should be good setting-up exercise preliminary to the Meyers match. Mabee is going to make every effort to break up Meyer's unbroken winning streak for four years.
HENNERS TAKE TWO FROM L. A. BOWLERS

THOMAS MEIGHAN and LILA LEE in a Scene from George Adé's Paramount Picture "Back Home and Broke"
Famed Stage Drama Filmed by Universal
How many crimes were you ever accused of in the course of a single night?
When Louis Tracy wrote his famous stage play, "One Wonderful Night," that was one of the intriguing problems he considered.
Herbert Rawlinson, star of many adventure films, found it an exciting thing to consider when he played the role of John D. Curtis in the Universal attraction at the United Theater tonight.
Stuart Paton directed the thrilling story and into the space of one night has been crowded more mystery, romance and genuine action than may ordinarily be found, in a month of Saturday nights.
Rawlinson, who was the star of "Don't Shoot," and other big success, has a strong supporting cast in this new play including Lillian Rich.
